The infant room operates on a very flexible timetable which is geared to each infant’s own schedule and needs. Infants nap and eat according to their own routine, and activities are provided accordingly. Infants spend a portion of each day in activities geared to their development levels, including: floor time, one-on-one interaction with their caregivers, time to experience creative materials, sensory integration activities, stories, music and songs, and both indoor and outdoor large motor activities. Each day includes outdoor play and/or walks (as weather permits), as well as morning and afternoon snacks and lunch time. Diapering occurs throughout the day as needed.

A typical, but flexible daily toddler schedule includes:

• 7:30-8:30 – arrival and free play
• 8:30-9:15 – clean-up, diapers, and snack (provided by school or parent volunteers)
• 9:15-9:30 – group time
• 9:30-10:30 – gross motor time (outdoor play, weather permitting)
• 10:30-11:00 – daily art project and story time
• 11:00-11:30 – clean-up and lunch
• 11:30-12:00 – diapers and brushing teeth
• 12:00-1:30 – nap (as long as needed)
• 1:30-2:30 – quiet time and free play
• 2:30-3:00 – clean-up and snack
• 3:00-4:00 – gross motor time
• 4:00-5:30 – afternoon story and planned activities

Diapering and toilet occurs when needed throughout the day, in addition to scheduled times.

A typical, but flexible daily preschool schedule includes:

• 7:30-9:00 – arrival, free play (learning centers)
• 9:00-9:15 – clean-up
• 9:15-9:30 – snack time (provided by the school or parent volunteers)
• 9:30-10:30 – project (individually or small group), free play
• 10:30-11:00 – outdoor play or gross motor activities in gym
• 11:00-11:30 – circle time: calendar, weather, show & tell, story time, music & movement
• 11:30-12:00 – lunch
• 12:00-12:30 – bathroom visit and tooth brushing
• 12:30-1:30 – rest time (after napping, quiet table activities/reading books)
• 1:30-2:15 – free play (learning centers)
• 2:15-2:45 – snack time
• 2:45-3:15 – circle time: music & movement, story time
• 3:15-5:30 – outdoor play, gross motor activities in gym, learning centers
